My Thursday evening Qigong classes at the Art Gallery and Public Library building, downtown Grimsby, have found a permanent home at the Carnegie Commons Building (aka the old Public Library Building) right beside the new Public Library! Gratitude to the town of Grimsby for kindly letting me use the building for the course.

Qi is the life energy. Gong is a practice. Together they refer to a practice of working with the life energy that is everywhere.

Qigong is a wholistic system of self-healing exercise and meditation, an ancient, evolving practice that includes healing postures, movement, self-massage, breathing techniques, visualization and meditation.
 .
This course offers a simple routine and meditation that is easily learned and practised.
 .
Classes focus on maintaining health through a variety of gentle movements and visualizations.

TCM Thursdays @ Cruise Chiropractic & Associates in Grimsby

Four weeks ago I started seeing patients at a great chiropractic clinic in Grimsby called Cruise Chiropractic & Associates (9 Livingston Avenue). I am thrilled in so many ways by this clinic. They have a team of health practitioners including RMTs, Therapists, ND, PT, OT, Osteopath, and 2 great Chiropractors. They just needed a TCM Dr. which I will be, most likely next year (my college, the CTCMPAO, is in the process of letting doctors call themselves doctors once approved). We share strategies between practitioners for improved patient outcomes. The location is beautiful. And I am impressed by my colleagues there. Please drop by. You are in good hands with our team. Qi-gong is a series of slow gentle movements, appropriate from all ages and physical capabilities that involves postures, breathing techniques, and mental focus practiced for health maintenance, healing and increasing vitality. Please wear loose comfortable clothing for the hour session.

Tai Chi is moving qi gong. Beautiful slow movements, like a dance and a martial art.

Acupuncture Clinic Toronto

This Wednesday May 18, I am seeing patients in Toronto at the Institute of Traditional Medicine, from 10 am to 2 pm. 553 Queen St. West. 2nd Floor Toronto, ON. Call them, (416) 537-0928, or me, 905-317-8899, for an appointment. Treatments cost $50 at the ITM Health Hub.

That evening from 6:30 to 9:30 I supervise the student clinic. There are both private sessions (call ahead to book) and a community acupuncture clinic (call ahead or drop in). Either cost $5 and a food donation for the food bank.
